How far can omicron virus be in air without symptoms? if i talked to friend maskless outside of 6 feet or directly 6 feet for just 1 minute, no symptoms the day. my friend tested positive the next day with symptoms. is it close contact, will i get it?

Covid omicron is much more easily transmitted than delta and other variants, probably with a lot more airborne transmission. But no research yet allows estimation of risk in such detail -- i.e. distance or duration of exposure, indoor vs outdoor, etc. Probably this exposure was low risk, but maybe not zero. Wear mask when out and about! Most important, get vaccinated if not yet done. Good luck.

Are you vaccinated? If you are vaccinated and boosted, you have little to be concerned. The circumstance you described could result in the virus reaching you airways. If you are not vaccinated, get vaccinated. Get Flu vaccine as well. Wish you good health!
