Ear wax?: From your description, it could be ear wax blocking the ear canal or an infection. The only way to determine this if for a physician (or other provider) to examine you. Most non-ENT physicians will not take the time to remove impacted wax so, if that is the suspicion, an ENT would be advised. Consult your PCP and ask if he/she is comfortable removing wax.
