Occasionally periods are late just based on hormone variation. If you are concerned you may have been pregnant or are pregnant you can get a blood HCG today, if it a miscarriage the HCG levels will go down over the next few days. If you continue spotting /bleeding beyond the normal number of days of your period or this recurs would follow up with Ob .
