The innervation to the cheeks is thru the facial and trigeminal nerves. It is difficult to think of a process involving this that is caused by turning head. Discuss with your Dr. Google this and get some good pictures of what does what. Your body is talking to you. listen and take good notes and share with a Dr. who can examine and test these nerves.

I would think that there would have to be a lesion in the spinal cord high up in the neck to cause these symptoms. I would consult a neurologist for evaluation, any appropriate testing and advice.
