Most dental pain can be taken care temporarily with analgesic (pain pill) with or without antibiotic by urgent care doctor for a couple days before you can see the dentist. Most hospitals do not have affiliated dentists but they may have maxillary surgeon in case of true emergency.

Your dentist can refer you to a specialist who is open on a weekend, or prescribe antibiotics/pain meds until an appointment can be made. Regular exams and cleanings can help prevent such emergencies. Be proactive rather than reactive.

Usually Dental problems are a log-time in the making, and don't just suddenly pop-up without warning. Regular professional examinations can often prevent such flare-ups. Some hospital ER's have Dentists on call to provide emergency treatment. But better to prevent problems. And isn you do have a problem, call at the first sign. Don't wait until the weekend.
