Peristolsis: If u r thin any lying down with ur abdominal muscles relaxed u can see the waves as ur small bowel does its work in moving bowel contents along their merry way.

Could possibly be: Just gas. Generally , muscle of the bowels and small intestines contract in a wave like manner, causing pain, discomfort and rumbling sounds. If concerned, consult with your treating physician.
