What is the best way to get my blood pressure down until i can get to a dr. for the past week or so its been from 165/110-186/130 it has gone to 165/80 but only once. i tested positive for covid almost 2 weeks ago and thats how i found out?

If an earlier appointment with your internist is unavailable, go to an emergency room for re-evaluation, as "186/130" is potentially a serious elevation of BP, and with stress, even at age "42", medication is prescribed to avoid risks.

Please see acute care soon. Keep a log if the readings, time and date. Avoid excessive salt, have a renal panel blood test and urinalysis. Post COVID-19 cardiac evaluation is also recommended. MIS C usually occurs in younger patients, but has been reported among adults.
