I woke up this morning with a severe tension headache. it is still there after an entire day. i dont know what causes this but might be my severe anxiety. it still hurts a lot when i walk and feels very heavy. is there some way on treating headache?

Depending upon the underlying cause of your headache, such as migraine or "tension", therapeutic intervention is available. A new persistent headache could be due to jaw, dental, sinus pathology, and rarely new intracranial problems. Do contact your doctor and get this handled, if worsens, is associated with fever, nausea, dizziness, or general malaise.

Agree with Dr. Mechanic. You could try taking acetaminophen, no more than 4 gm in one day. no alcohol, drink enough water so that your urine is mostly colorless. Regular exercise will help in relieving tension headaches. Wish you good health!
