Someone i know is having super weird symptoms that seem almost like pregnancy, however she has an iud and a negative pregnancy test, she thinks she missed her period combined with the symptoms are scaring us. she has been under intense stress lately?

If pregnancy is suspected, a Pregnancy test is to be done. it is a very reliable test. If this test is negative on 1 or 2 occasions(she should repeat it once more), then she can not be pregnant. Symptoms of pregnancy are quite varied and are not all that reliable, neither is a missed period reliable sign of pregnancy. .

Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
