I was on birth control from nov 2020 to feb 2021, and switched to progesterone for 2 mos due to my irregular periods and acne. after 6 months of getting off birth control i missed my period twice. should i go back on taking my birth control again?

If you are sexually active and do not wish to become pregnant, you should use contraception, all the time, every time. Going on birth control pills is one option, you may also consider an IUD. The birth control pill should regulate your periods and, of course, provide birth control, but not every woman has a predictable monthly period. Skipping two months over a six month period is not a problem from a medical perspective. It might be an issue if it creates excessive anxiety or you are trying to conceive.
