If this period is 4-5 days shorter than the previous period and assume your follicle tracking is accurate, you have a short luteal phase this cycle (less than 10 days). Otherwise, your method of follicle tracking is inaccurate if this cycle is not shorter compared with the previous cycles.

"Follicle tracking" can show when a "follicle" present is no longer detected by ultrasound. The "follicle" is identified as containing a viable egg, but many so-called "follicles" are simply ovarian cysts, so their absence does not mean ovulation has taken place. True ovulatory follicles rupture to release an egg, and if pregnany does not occur, a "real" period occurs 14 days later.
