Being allergic to cats, my throat and ears will itch. to scratch my throat, i will press my tongue against the roof of my mouth and suck back into my throat. it creates a frog like noise. is this common? if so, is there a name for that action of itch?

Allergic reactions may worsen and cause respiratory difficulty, trouble swallowing and vomiting. It is important to discuss the use of Benadryl, EPI Pen with your physician. Based on your reaction, keep Benadryl available. Watch for shortness of breath and wheezing.
