The actual "dates" of pregnancy may not be accurate, and the "faint line" may simply represent a minimal amount of pregnancy hormone at this early stage of pregnancy. Obtain a quantitative HCG serum test to determine the appropriate level of HCG at this point in the pregnancy.

It may have something to do with the technique. The second line is the positive control. If you have any doubt, get a blood test for HCG level. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!
