Leg pain: Make sure that she doesnt have flat feet. Many times children can develop knee pain from flat feet. Take her to your doctor to make sure she doesnt have any problems by getting some blood tests to rule out other causes. Assuming everything is ok, i would then take to a podiatrist if she could benefit from orthotics.

?Growing pains?: There are a few basics to define the lable of "growing pains" and they are not definite. It is more likely if the discomfort affects both sides than one, occurs in afternoons and evenings after play, not at 4am after sleep. They should never involve localized swelling or a fever. Often an ofice visit and exam is appropriate to decide if testing is needed if the kid has triggered your mommy alarm.
