One of the more common reasons for hematuria is an infection, especially with burning present. Is the infection being treated? If so, you need to see if the hematuria resolves by treating the UTI. She will need follow up with urology. Has the urologist evaluated for kidney stones? Sometimes, renal stones can get infected and lead to these signs/symptoms. She definitely needs follow-up with urology

A urinalysis with microscopic examination of the urinary sediment would not be normal in the presence of a urinary tract infection and hematuria. In her workup the ultrasound should be of the kidneys and urinary bladder. A urine cytology exam of the urine is important as it checks for malignant cells. Post void of 60 cc is nonspecific. A urologist is best to evaluate your mother's hematuria.
