A urinalysis with microscopic examination of the urinary sediment would not be normal in the presence of a urinary tract infection and hematuria. In her workup the ultrasound should be of the kidneys and urinary bladder. A urine cytology exam of the urine is important as it checks for malignant cells. Post void of 60 cc is nonspecific. A urologist is best to evaluate your mother's hematuria.
