Following a chest x-ray for rib pain, i was told by my gp that there is 'rib remodelling'. what does rib remodelling mean exactly and what are the causes and treatment for this. many thanks?

You may have broken a rib and by the time x-ray was taken, the fracture may have partially healed and now presents as remodelling of the callus, newly formed bone. If you have concerns, talk to the radiologist who read the x-ray. Wish you good health!
