You'll know: If you have any signs/symptoms of torsion, get with your physician quickly. If you develop a hematocele that's obvious, you will want to visit a surgeon as well. Otherwise, apart from the pain and embarrassment, you should be fine. You're an adult, I am sorry this happened, and there are laws to deal with this kind of thing.
