Last night i helped a man get out of a car that he crashed and i managed to get a small cut from the glass but i didnt touch any blood but i am concerned that i mightve caught something like hiv. do i need to get tested?

Your risk of HIV from this scenario is extremely low since there was no bodily fluid exposure. But, if it would make you feel better, then go get tested. Is your tetanus vaccine up to date? If you haven’t had a tetanus vaccine in the last 5 years, I would suggest getting this updated with a Tdap vaccine, if you have never had one, or a regular tetanus vaccine if you already had a Tdap. No, HIV is not transmitted through inanimate objects. HIV related anxiety is likely and you should discuss it with your doc. For further information related to HIV transmission and prophylaxis cdc.gov is a reliable site.
