Im 32yrs old and ive been having persistent muscle twitching in my left arm in the crease of my elbow and side of bicep for 3 weeks, also i have tingling/numbness in my arm as if i hit my funny bone could this be als? thanks in advance?

If you have exercised, local nerve inflammation may have occurred. Rest the arm, watch for swelling, redness and localized pain. Please follow up, if not improving.

Twitching or vibrations under the skin are likely fasciculations, fine twitching of the muscle fibres under the skin. This is usually obvious when the muscle is at rest. It can be completely benign and not significant except as a nuisance. It is made worse by fatigue, caffeine, or a combination of both. See a neurologist for a proper evaluation. Also, ALS does not have sensory symptoms.
