Yes it can occur. all forms of acidosis can be mild, moderate or severe and one is not 'better' than the other. Take care

Yes, acetazolamide induced metabolic acidosis is a normal anion gap metabolic acidosis (hyperchloremic metabolic acidosis). Each type of metabolic acidosis has its different health consequence which depends on the cause and how severe the acidosis is.
