Had root canal done almost a month ago over my crown, still have bitter taste/smell (hasn't gotten any better). was told to get a new crown at some point even though i just got it early this year. will getting a new crown fix this problem?

If you had this crown made less than a year ago, there should be no issues. The odor/taste may be from a different issue. This needs further investigation.

The crown could have some leakage and food is getting underneath it or between it and tooth next to it. The tooth won't hurt because the nerve was removed but the bitter smell and taste is from the decaying food.
