It sounds like you have a superficial ear infection. It has nothing to do with using hair dye. See a doctor for evaluation and treatment. Good luck.

Certainly the dye could have irritated your ear and caused the swelling and peeling. If you have a prescription Cortisone cream, please apply it gently twice a day to the ear, using a Q-tip and then gently rub it in with your finger . Should clear in 7-10 days
