Stick with MD/DOs: You'll find someone who 'believes in fibromyalgia.' i must tell you that part of the problem is that there is no specific test for fibromyalgia and a disproportionate number of patients who feel that is there diagnosis also have depression or personality problems. Not saying you do, just be aware that's part of the problem you're facing. Beware of 'alternative medicine' promises. Good luck.

Fibro-sympathetic: 32 y.o.'s doctor doubts reality of fibromyalgia; what to do? Start w. Rheumatologist, for they are trained to diagnose fibromyalgia. Second opinion from Osteopath, for they are expert at diagnosing soft tissue injuries. Interestingly, many Psychiatrists seem fibro-sympathetic. Observation that these experts of the mind understand fibromyalgia lends support to the physical reality of fibromyalgia.
