I need my ldl-p levels checked out given previous high ldl-c levels. are there any other specialties that i might consider besides lipidologists that specialize in this area?

Most internists, cardiologists and liver specialist should be able to adequately and reliably take care of this for you.

Many labs do perform LDL-P levels even though LDL-P requires different technology. There are other methods that might be used to see whether LDL-P is abnormal including measurement of apoB . Any lipidologist with experience should be able to guide you. I suggest that you discuss this with your primary physician to get a referral to a lipidologist.
