Lisinopril: You are on a low dose. How well is your pressure controlled. If it is less than 140 mm hg systolic it is fine. However, if you BP > 140 ask your doctor if you need more of it, up to a maximum dose of 40 mg. If you have proteinuria (p), higher doses of Lisinopril lower p to a greater degree than lower doses. Ask your doctor what dose is right for you.

Yes.: You should never abruptly stop a BP medication without your doctor's advice. You do not develop tolerance to Lisinopril and short of a lot of weight reduction or treatment of another condition that caused your high blood pressure your blood pressure is still high but controlled by the lisinopril. Stopping it can allow the BP to rise and lead to strokes and heart attacks.
