At age 28, even with a sedentary lifestyle (working from home) persistent abdominal pains interrupting normal sleep should be evaluated by a physician. Obtain a referral to a GI specialist for an exam and other testing.

A physical exam would be needed for a meaningful differential diagnosis, but the association with sitting a lot, if correct, suggests a musculoskeletal origin.

Deconditioning from lack of physical activity is a likely explanation of your symptoms. Exercise at least 30 minutes/day 5 days/week. Start with the intensity as tolerated. Gradually increase the intensity of exercise so that you are sweating at the conclusion. Raising core body temperature though exercise will strengthen your muscles and make those more flexible. It may take up to 3 months.

I am sorry but without a thorough history and physical exam, it is not possible to tell you what is going on. At your age, and being male, I can generate a very broad differentia of possible causes - some are very benign but some can be serious. Please see someone to start the diagnostic process.
