If a healthy person drinks 3 quarts of fluid in 24 hours, he/she could easily pass 2/12 quarts of urine or more in 24 hours. This results in need to urinate at least 6 times in 24 hrs or about every 4-5 hours. Those with small bladder capacities void more often in my experience the heavy beer drinker voids much less often due to stimulating antidiuretic hormone.& they often sleep all night!

It depends on how sensitive your bladder is. Average daily urine volume 1,200 - 1,500 cc. When bladder volume is about 300-350 cc, you have the urge to void. You do not empty the bladder completely so each time you void, only 250 -300 cc of urine. Young, healthy people does not void during sleep so you have about 16 hrs to void that volume, then you void 5-6 times/day or every 2.6 -3.2 hours.
