What should i do to help my foot after rolling it in a painful way 5 weeks ago? it's been swollen the entire time and i've had 2 x rays so far and the pain hasn't gone?

You mentioned you had x-rays but you didn’t say if there was any damage to the bones. The ankle will not feel better without proper physical therapy. This will help with the swelling and at the same time provide you with strengthening of the extremity to help protect yourself for any future problems. Ibuprofen or Aleve will help. In the meantime contrast bath will help

While more detailed info on how you rolled your foot is needed, the most common problem is a sprain which is injury to a ligament. These can take weeks or longer to heel fully. However, with swelling and pain I would also worry about a stress fracture which may not show up on a simple X-ray. You may need an MRI to make sure a bone is not broken. Best to see someone and get a good evaluation
