This may be caused by blood clots in your legs. Your platelets are high and this may predispose to clotting. Your physician can order ultrasound studies called " plethismography" to evaluate this condition.

I too would highly urge ultrasound studies to assess thrombophlebitis, which is most critical issue. Rhabdomyolysis from over-usage of muscles could be considered if no venous issues, and your doctor could check urine and blood to assess. This has nothing to do with Vitamin D, but check your level nonetheless.
