All medications can have side effects. It is best to ask the prescriber for the reason why they chose this as opposed to something else. When you get a prescription always ask for the reason, what it will do and what are the possible side effects.

Seroquel in the dose prescribed for you is pretty safe. The drug can have untoward side effects. I agree about asking your doctor more about this drug so you feeel confident you have discussed its use, risks and benefitsso that you can stop worrying. Seroquel is commonly prescribed for sleep but there other meds if , after fully discuss this with your MD, you still choose not to take seroquel.
