A member asked:

What's the cdc's advice on how to eat/drink on a plane since they think it is safe to fly even with people huddled together since we know that covid doesn't disappear when you're hungry or thirsty? i have not traveled, my life's on hold & need advice?

If you fly now you will only have 5 choices of drinks, none alcoholic. You will be offered a small bag of chips/snacks. You will be required to wear a mask including over nose to get on plane. Unless you have had COVID-19 vaccination would not advise traveling at all. I do not know your co-morbid conditions. Discuss with a Dr who does. Go to CDC.gov for most recent recommendations. Stay well!

Flying has been deemed safe. Masks are mandated. If necessary, drink through a straw underneath your mask. Eat in the terminal or at home before your flight where you will feel more comfortable. Unless you're on a really long flight hunger should not be an issue. If you're not vaccinated you should seriously consider getting the vaccine.
