I was diagnosed with costochondritis. it feels as though something is pushing my ribcage and shoulder blades away from the inside. is this a normal symptom? i had an abdominal ct not long ago and the only issue was a partially distended bladder?

I think you can feel more comfortable that nothing more serious is going on with the normal study. Costochondritis is a very painful condition. Speak to the physician that ordered the CT about appropriate treatment for the naging condition, who should be able to get you symptomatic relief.
