86 year old male was discharged after 1 day of intubation due to stridor. after 5 days readmitted due to coughing up blood. ct of chest, throat found endema or swelling. endoscopy came negative. now modified barium swallow test any opinion?

A swallow evaluation makes sense in above context as microaspiration is always possible and possibly causing the protracted cough. A modified consistency diet may be recommended in case aspiration is suggested by the barium swallow test.
