Laxity vs biceps : Popping joints are very common when it is nonpainful and is usually seen in patients with excessive laxity in their joints. This is easily addressed with a formal strengthening program. When it is painful it becomes more concerning and an evaluation is necessary to rule out a labral tear or long head of the biceps pathology. Either way if you are concerned i recommend a formal evaluation.
