A member asked:

If i had yeast infection for 2 years in the past because of improper treatment and after proper treatment it cleared up and haven't returned since that, does it mean it is chronic and i still have it? does chronic means lifelong, or it is cured now?

Chronic does not mean lifelong it means "an illness persisting for a long time or constantly recurring". Since you are now clear, you are currently infection free. Can it recur under certain circumstances, yes. Certain antibiotics can induce another yeast infection. ref: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/yeast-infection/symptoms-causes/syc-20378999
