A member asked:

When i was 16, i had vaginal bacterial (coccus) and yeast infection (symptoms discharge). i went to 2 gyns and their treatment didn't work. when i became 18, i found another gyn and treatment cleared up everything. does it mean, i had it chronic?

The body's outer surfaces and the invaginations, the mouth, ears, eyes, nailbeds, lungs and tonsils all have commensal organisms that live in harmony with us, and by their dominant presence prevent other organisms that can be more harmful from colonising those chambers. A yeast infection for two years is chronic. I am glad you have that cleared up. It may arise again with antibiotics imbalance.
