That is a rapid resting heart rate for an adult. I assume you're not running a fever or taking any medications or substances that can accelerate the heart rate. This includes certain nasal sprays. An overactive thyroid could be a cause. An EKG should be performed to ensure that the rhythm is simple sinus tachycardia and not another arrhythmia.
