Is it ok to give a 11 wk baby gripe water when they have loose motion?

Rather not.: Though gripe water is safe and contains only tested herbs, i would recommend you not give it to your baby at this time. The baby has new loose stools for a reason -illness, infection, food allergies. I suggest a doctor's visit to sort out why he is having these symptoms and then to treat them appropriately.

Not appropriate: Balanced electrolyte solution such as pedialyte should be provided.
