A member asked:

I am 40 yo. i have pretty much every symptom of shingles. right down to the blistering rash that popped up yesterday. except for the blistering rash was gone almost 24 hours later. could it still be shingles?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can happen but it is not that common to have shingle at age 38 Without being immunocompromised. If the rash came and went in 24 hours, I can assure you that it is not shingle. Urticaria, commonly known as hives can come and go within a few hours which I suspect you may have had. If it is recurring, I would recommend following up with your doc. Good luck
