How can you get hsv1 and is there ways to get rid of it?

HSV1 is transmitted through skin to skin contact between a person who has infection and one who does not. There is no way to get rid of it. Once a person is infected, the virus stays in the body for the rest of one's life. Breakouts of infection can be controlled with medication, but medications are not curative.
