It's hard to provide a diagnosis of physical changes that you don't examine. The other concern is what do you mean by boney nodules. My guess, which I cannot be sure of, is that you have osteoarthritis (OA). This is common arthritis from wear and tear

Hard to answer without more information. Osteoarthritis can cause nodules as can some inflammatory arthropathies. An x-ray, a history & physical and maybe some laboratory studies could determine for sure what type of arthritis you have.
