A couple of thought : Your symptoms suggest a couple things. Inflammatory . Our thoughts include such diagnoses as arthritis, myositis are a couple thoughts. When you see a rheumatologist we will look for a variety of inflammatory causes. You do not describe swelling so i think we also have to look at noninflammatory musculoskeletal problems. Your evaluation will include this.
