The white blood cell (WBC) count (leukocytes) varies widely over time, even over a few hours. Any number between about 4,500 and 10,000 usually is normal, regardless of change in the number over time.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the change in counts per se is not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
