I have an iud. i had intercourse w/husband 2 days ago and today i was bleeding lightly. i didn't have a period in september, and before birth control, i was never regular due to pcos. could this be my period or implantation? sex not rough or painful?

It is too early to tell but chance of implantation bleeding is very low because you have an IUD and your PCOS history. So I assume either the first day of your period or sex related vaginal bleeding.

Conception occurs within day or so of the sex. It takes about 3 weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG for a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully.
