I worked out with a mask and had some breathing problems but no sinus effects .You should see an otolaryngologist for an exam.

Hello. The mask is probably causing very little risk for infection. It’s more likely allergy, anatomical issues, polyps, viral or bacterial in origin. Since you have a confirmed sinus infection, follow your doctor’s recommended treatment. Antibiotics, saline nasal irrigations, decongestants, a steroid nasal spray and pain medications like Motrin usually help. If the problem persists, see your ENT.
