For some people with low citric in the urine or if alkalizing the urine will prohibit stone formation, drinking citra alka syrup such as Bicitra or Polycitra may be helpful. However, this supplement does not improve urine flow.

If this product changes the ph of urine from acidic to alkalotic it may dissolve or prevent uric acid stones but not the more common calcium oxylate stones. However if you had kidney stones, it's preferable to have your physician prescribe the proper medication &dose instead of a supplement that's not investigated by the FDA as pointed out by Dr.Le.
