A member asked:

I have had mild pain in my lower stomach on the left side for two days. could this be from ovulation? should i be concerned or schedule a doctors appointment? should i give it a few days?

Maybe, maybe not. If not constipation (too much stool in the left lower abdomen) that goes away with a bowel movement, then one's primary care doctor can check to see what's going on. Doctor can examine to see if there is any big lump in the abdomen or pelvis. Sometimes an infection, an oddly-located appendicitis, a kidney or ovary problem, an irritated nerve, or some sort of tumor can cause pain.
