A 36-year-old male asked:

Dx obst sleep apnea in 2019.if not using cpap may awaken with a single grating inhalation (stridor?) followed by normal breathing.internet says stridor not typical in osa &suggests mult syst atrophy.no other obvious symptoms of msa.cause for concern?

True stridor in an adult is usually caused by vocal cord or tracheal abnormalities. You may have experienced a simple transient wheeze caused by mucus but if recurring episodes are noted, I'd recommend consulting an otolarygologist for evaluation and advice Appropriate testing will be done if deemed advisable.
