I have had a sore throat for 5 days, felt better, then got worst last night. feels very dry, irritated and scratchy. my ears just started itching deep inside that i cant reach. i had minor nasal congestion on day 1-4. what could this be?

Hello. It sounds like there may be an underlying allergy present. The mucus membranes within the nose are connected to the sinuses, ears and continue to the throat. All your symptoms at be allergy linked. Consider an OTC antihistamine like Zyrtec, saline nasal irrigation 2x/day then spray 1 spray of generic Flonase in each nostril after the saline. Ibuprofen as needed also helps.
