i have a very sore throat, chest congestion, cough, and itchy ears. it has been 2 days and it is only getting worse. what could this be?

Ear infection: Sounds most likely to be an upper respiratory virus. Treatment is just symptomatic. Lots of liquids, mucous thinners, humidification, tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin for fever.

Congestion: Likely a viral illness. Can take a week to 10 days to run its course. Typically medicate symptoms and stay well hydrated.
